The Alt chair in solid birch is a modern take on the classic spindle chair, designed by Form Us With Love in collaboration with Stolab. A beautifully carved seat with uniquely shaped back spindles gives a soft, warm feel. Stacks up to 5 chairs. Available in a variety of colours. Suits the dining area at home, in the office, or in public spaces. Crafted in Smålandsstenar, Sweden.

The material
Birch – extensive possibilities with surface treatments
Birch is a light wood species with a grain pattern that can range from completely smooth to richly figured. It is one of the most common types of wood in Sweden and is used in nearly all of our furniture collections. Birch is moderately hard and durable, offering extensive possibilities for surface treatments thanks to its smooth, structure-free surface, which makes it ideal for lacquering and painting. More than 75% of our birch comes from Sweden and has grown for 70–80 years before becoming furniture timber.
