In Österlen, where the rolling landscape meets the village of Brösarp, lies Brösarps Gästgifveri – a place with roots dating back to the 17th century and a long tradition of food, hospitality and gatherings. Here, the tradition of the classic Swedish inn lives on in a setting where history is ever-present, while the place continues to evolve.

A Swedish classic returns to the restaurant scene
Småland was designed by Yngve Ekström in the mid-1960s as a relaxed yet distinctive bistro chair. The timing was right, and the chair soon found its way into Swedish cafés, restaurants and hotels. Today, Småland is back – still made in Småland by Stolab, the original manufacturer.
At Brösarps Gästgifveri, the chair naturally connects past and present. Its familiar spindle-back design reflects the tradition of Swedish furniture making, while its carefully considered proportions give it an expression that feels just as relevant in contemporary restaurant interiors.
The integrated handle at the top of the backrest makes the chair easy to move and handle – a small but important detail in a restaurant setting where furniture is used and rearranged throughout the day.
