Bo Armstrong is a trained architect and industrial designer with extensive experience in furniture design. Throughout his career, he has had a particular interest in functional furniture and design for public environments.

Wood plays a central role in Bo’s design work. He appreciates the material’s unique structure and characteristics, and embraces the challenge of allowing these qualities to become a natural part of both the expression and construction of each piece.

Over the course of his career, Bo Armstrong has developed around 40 chairs for various furniture manufacturers. For Stolab, he designed the Mint lounge chair and the Kaprifol chair family – designs that clearly reflect his experience with wood, seating comfort and furniture for public environments.
