Taking care of your leather furniture
How to care for your leather furniture
Leather is a beautiful and durable material that can be used for a wide range of products, such as furniture. We use different types of leather as standard across our product range.
To keep your leather products looking beautiful and lasting for many years, it is important to care for them properly. On the next page, we guide you on how to care for your leather furniture.
Elmosoft is a semi-aniline leather, a type of leather where the surface has been treated with a thin protective coating. This coating provides a certain level of protection against stains and wear, while still allowing the leather’s natural texture and grain to remain visible. Semi-aniline leather is also soft and supple, but not as delicate as aniline leather.
We use Sørensen Ultra on our seat cushions, which is a protected leather. It is surface-treated and embossed, making it highly durable. The surface is very pleasant to the touch and has an even grain pattern throughout the leather, giving it a uniform appearance. Protected leather is very easy to maintain and can simply be wiped clean with a cloth if stains occur.

Maintenance and care
Clean regularly: It is important to keep your leather furniture clean from dirt and stains. Use a soft cloth or a leather cleaning product to wipe the product regularly.
Avoid water: Leather is sensitive to water and can be damaged by moisture. Try to avoid exposing your leather products to water as much as possible. If they do get wet, wipe them gently with a dry cloth and let them dry.
Avoid direct sunlight: Direct sunlight can fade and damage leather. Store your leather products in a place where they are not exposed to direct sunlight.
Use leather conditioner: Leather conditioner is a product that can help preserve the softness and suppleness of leather. Apply leather conditioner regularly to your leather products to keep them moisturized.
